The TFS-401™ Optical Loss Test Set gives technicians the capability to perform fast and accurate measurements in the field. Triltihic's new optical loss test set is housed in a rugged waterproof carrying case and includes our TFS-201™ Optical Light Source and TFS-301™ Optical Power Meter.

Alone, the optical power meter is ideal for absolute measurements. When the power meter is used in conjunction with the optical light source relative measurements can be made to accurately determine fiber loss.

TFS-301 Optical Power Meter

The TFS-301 features NIST traceable calibration at 4 wavelengths: 850 nm, 1300 nm, 1310 nm, and 1550 nm for accurate power level measurements.

TFS-201 Optical Light Source

When performing attenuation tests on fiber links, it is necessary to have a stable source of light on which to base measurements. The TFS-201 Optical Light Source provides the stability needed to allow accurate testing.

A perfect complement to the TFS-301 Optical Power Meter, the TFS-201 source allows simultaneous operation of both outputs or individual operation with either CW, 30Hz, 500Hz, or 2kHz modulation. The optical light source operates at 1310 nm or 1550 nm with ST, SC & FC Adapters.

Relative Measurements

When making relative measurements atechnician has the ability to store zero references for reading all four wavelengths independently. This allows all zero references to be taken at one time and also allows the unit to be turned off while moving between locations to preserve battery life. By storing all four references a technician will have them available for immediate recall even when moving between locations.

Rugged Construction

The optical light source and optical power meter are both specifically designed with the field technician in mind providing a long battery life and rugged construction that includes high impact rubber bumpers, weather resistant membrane switches, and a durable powder coat finish further protecting the devices.

Quick-Charging

The TFS-401 Optical Loss Test Set devices are powered by either four AA alkaline batteries or an AC/DC adapter with four AA NiMH batteries (both the adapter and NiMH batteries are included).

In addition to standard charge mode, the units feature an emergency quick-charge mode that allows the user to charge the batteries in approximately 1 hour.

Warranty

Repairs

All repairs carry a 90-day warranty against defects in replacement parts and repair workmanship.

Products

All Trilithic products are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a minimum of one year after shipment.

Trilithic's obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product after being returned to our factory, and Trilithic determining the product be indeed defective.

This is Trilithic's sole warranty and is given in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and sets forth the buyers sole remedy.
