EASyCAST Firmware and Software Update v. 7.07

EASyCAST Encoder/Decoder 7.07 includes the following additions/enhancements:

  • EASyCAST version 7.07 firmware and software, EASyNIC version 2.05 firmware
  • Fixed a problem that can occur while displaying the alert text crawl on the internal CG when the event uses live audio and a long crawl

EASyCAST Encoder/Decoder 7.05 includes the following additions/enhancements:

  • Provided several enhancements to the software GUI to make it more User Friendly.
  • Added the ability to display the EAS text in Spanish
  • Added a schedule for the Automatic/Manual mode, allowing the EASyCAST to automatically change modes when the station is unmanned.
  • Added the ability to display a Station Identification message once an hour on the internal character generator.
  • Added serial port protocols to display EAS messages on a variety of external audio/video devices.  Supported protocols include EAS Protocol Text, Star-8 Character Generators, Alert Text (Sony Clients), Chyron Character Generators, Generic Character Generators (several devices including Miranda), & EAS Log Text.
  • Changed the EAN and EAT text to include the scripts from the EAS handbook.
  • Logging Enhancements
    • Added ability for the log to wrap, leaving the last 5460 log entries intact
    • Added Unique Identifier to EAS logs for cross-referencing to status logs
    • Added combined receive/transmit EAS log
    • Added version information to downloaded logs (at the time of the download)
    • Added ability to select what kind of logs to download and the start date and time
  • Expanded User Accounts
    • 8 character (numeric) PIN for telephone and front panel access
    • 32 character password for communication interfaces
    •  Access right and allowable communication ports
    • Up to 3 FIPS codes assigned to the user
  • Added an option to disable the FTP server running on the EASyNIC Ethernet board.
  • Added the ability to upload audio files via Ethernet
  • Added SNMP support and the ability to configure up to eight management servers.
  • Added ability to upgrade all firmware via Ethernet
  • Added support for SW-IP switches (IP based general purpose output devices)
  • Added support for Middleware servers using the IP based EAS Text Protocol
  • Added an option to FTP EAS text and audio files to configured FTP Servers
