Signal Level Meters

Signal Level Meters and Signal Analyzers

For more than 25 years Trilithic Inc. and its operations have been leaders in the design and manufacture of signal level meters for the cable TV industry. Beginning with the 727 in 1976, Trilithic's field meters and analyzers have evolved to meet expanding industry requirements, and now perform every application addressable by an SLM, from drop installation to automated remote measurements.

In 1991, Trilithic created the industry's first combination Signal Level Meter, Leakage Detector, and data logger, the TRICORDER. Over the next several years new models were added to the Tricorder family to keep pace with the industry's evolving demands. For over ten years, the Tricorder remained popular for its accuracy, simplicity and toughness. It is being retired in 2002.

In 1999 Trilithic introduced the MODEL ONE, a general purpose SLM offering a wide range of capabilities and conveniences at a previously unavailable price. The instrument has been well received by contractors technicians and installers everywhere and thousands are in daily use.

Besides signal level meters, the Trilithic meter family introduced the first of a new line of high-performance field signal analyzers in 2001, the 860 DSP. The first field instrument to take full advantage of DSP technology, the 860 DSP excels as a comprehensive digital and analog signal analyzer, providing the functions of an signal level meter, spectrum analyzer and QAM analyzer in a small, lightweight package. The 860 DSP is also compatible with the TRILITHIC Guardian Reverse Path Maintenance system and fully emulates the popular Guardian RSVP² Installer's Reverse Tester.  The 860 DSP enhances the already reliable line of Trilithic meters.
