CAP Position Statement
Trilithic’s Position on CAP protocol and the recent FCC report and order
Trilithic has a long history of supporting EAS and the evolution of standards and technology. Not only do we expect to provide a solution for CAP protocol and other new capabilities to improve the delivery of emergency alerts, we expect to deliver a solution to our customer that is based on maximizing their investment in our current product in their inventory. Trilithic traditionally has been able to update and modify current hardware, firmware, and software to provide the best solution to meet the operational expectations of our customers. We understand your need to keep your EAS investment low and will continue to design with that goal in mind. New customers to Trilithic can expect a technology based solution that evolves with the standards and a company that supports its customers and embraces their business requirements.
In the interim, Trilithic is active with the FCC, FEMA, and other organizations involved in the evolution of EAS. Arthur Leisey, SCTE EAS Sub Committee Chairman is involved with most of our efforts and is available to further discuss each customer’s specific requirements at aleisey@trilithic.com.
Trilithic expects to work with all parties concerned with the implementation of new standards, i.e. CAP, and deliver solutions as soon as feasible. It is our intent to keep all of our customers in compliance with the FCC, FEMA, and any State or Local authorities.
